An ode to Class X-D

Monday, January 30, 2006

Mike's wife bought a new line of expensive cosmetics guaranteed to make
her look years younger.

After a lengthy sitting before the mirror applying the "miracle" products,
she asked, "Darling, honestly, what age would you say I am?"

Looking over her carefully, Mike replied, "Judging from your skin, twenty;
your hair, eighteen; and your figure, twenty five."

"Oh, you flatterer!" she gushed.

"Hey, wait a minute!" Mike interrupted. "I haven't added them up yet."

some cute poems and nick-nacks which shall help us remember:
the best of times
the worst of times
and truly the best of times

Simple vs Real

Anyone can stand by you when you are right, but a Friend will stand by you even when you are wrong...
A simple friend identifies himself when he calls. A real friend doesn't have to.
A simple friend opens a conversation with a full news bulletin on his life.
A real friend says, "What's new with you?"
A simple friend thinks the problems you whine about are recent.
A real friend says, "You've been whining about the same thing for 14 years. Get off your duff and do something about it."
A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.
A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!

poem

FRIENDSHIP IS A PRICELESS GIFT
THAT CANNOT BE BOUGHT OR SOLD
BUT ITS VALUE IS FAR GREATERTHAN THE MOUNTAIN MADE OF GOLD
FOR GOLD IS COLD & LIFELESS
IT CAN NEITHER SEE NOR HEAR& IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE
IT IS POWER LESS 2 CHEER--IT HAS NO EARS 2 LISTEN
NOR HEART 2 UNDERSTAND
IT CANNOT BRING U COMFORT
OR REACH OUT A HELPING HAND
SO WHEN U ASK GOD FOR A GIFT
BE THANKFUL IF HE SENDS NOT DIAMONDS, PEARLS OR RICHES
BUT THE LOVE OF REAL TRUE FRIENDS

HOPE u gals n guys n gays like it

X-D : <

Here I present an awesome tale
which to catch your heart would never fail
It is about our class tenth d
Which glared out of all sections - You see.

We thought the class is full of geeks
without any fun would be so cheap
But then we knew the God is too divine
The class was as fine as vespers nine

The moon then shined, the moon still shines
The days were ours including mine
But the fear that clock goes around
We now stand alone all so bound.

Though the fog of separation came
Love for this section remains the same
Our feelings will still there blow
and we will try not to woe.

----Thank You----

Hello

I read this be4 equal music. It appropriates the occasion.

Perhaps this could have stayed unstated.
Had our words turned to other things
In the grey park, the rain abated,
Life would have quickened other strings.
I list your gifts in this creation:
Pen, paper, ink and inspiration,
Peace 2 the heart with touch or word,
Ease to the soul with note or chord.

How did that walk, those winter hrs,
Occasion this? No lightning came,
Nor did I sense, when touched by flame,
Our story lit with borrowed powers-
Rather, by what our spirits burned,
embered in words, to us returned.

I'm here!!!

I’ve majored the zenith of vellapanti today!! And guess whose not feeling guilty about it??

Anyways, finally got around to think about the majorly boisterous days spent in the last two years (I guess chocolate truffle and brownie do that to you!!!). And the awesome people of course. I can’t claim to have interacted with each one of you as much as I would have perhaps liked but oh whatever.

This class was definitely not a tough one for me. About 12 people from my eighth standard class had been put here. And there were those I was already friends with.

Now of course, most of us are taking different subjects and I can’t really see any hope. And while we move on, making new friends, I guess this blog will serve as a constant reminder of the two hilarious years we’ve spent in each other’s company.

Here’s a list, in no particular order, of some of the people who made these two years a complete cakewalk for me (It’s another story that some of them perhaps would not have the same feelings but wait, I’m not sorry for bullying (read subtle) you: that’s what was the most wondrous part):

And everyone else, u people rock. Thanks for making the last two years so memorable.

I guess that’s enough for today.

hehe... okay my first post... ahem ahem
my first reaction to this class on April 1st 2004? Geeks.. full of geeks.. coming from a loud and obnoxious class i didnt think i would survive.. But i did.. very comfortably too... I realized geeks can also be nice.. and well annoying them can also b fun! This class has been awesome.. we've had some great times.. and gotten some treats for bein the best of da lot!! Going to 11nth is definetly going to be sad.. leaving everyone behind.. we had kinda dropped into a routine.. But i think i can say for everyone here that well.. wherever we will be next year.. class X-D will never be far from our minds... So on this note.... im goin sign off...
